People search for solutions, not your product category
People don't search "project management tool." They search "how to track marketing experiments." Create a page for each use case.
When to use
Your product serves multiple audiences or use cases. Your homepage tries to address all of them.
Hypothesis template
If we create landing pages for [X] use cases, we'll rank for [target] long-tail keywords because each page matches specific search intent.
Method
The problem: Your homepage targets one keyword. But your product solves 20 different problems for 10 different audiences.
What Monday.com did: Created landing pages for every use case: "Monday for marketing," "Monday for project tracking," "Monday for sales pipelines." Each one targets different search queries.
The result: Use case pages rank for specific long-tail keywords and convert better than the homepage because they speak directly to the visitor's situation.
How to do it:
- List every distinct use case or audience for your product (aim for 10-20)
- For each one, create a dedicated landing page with tailored copy
- Include: headline for that use case, relevant features, social proof from that segment, CTA
- Target the specific keywords that audience searches for
- Link from your main navigation or footer
- Track: organic traffic and conversion rate per use case page
Key insight: One landing page can't speak to everyone. Ten pages that each speak to one person convert 3-5x better than one page that tries to speak to all.
