Your tweets get 50 impressions and zero clicks
Threads get 5-10x more reach than single tweets. One great thread per week builds your audience faster than daily tweets.
When to use
Your target audience is active on Twitter/X. You have expertise to share.
Hypothesis template
If we publish [1] educational thread per week about [topic], we'll grow from [current] to [target] followers and get [target] profile clicks/week.
Method
The problem: You tweet daily but nothing gets traction. Single tweets compete with millions of others and the algorithm buries them.
What works: One well-crafted thread per week. Threads get algorithmically boosted because they drive longer engagement. Educational threads that teach something actionable get the most shares.
The result: A single thread can get 10-100x the impressions of a regular tweet. One viral thread can add 500-2,000 followers overnight.
How to do it:
- Pick a topic you know deeply that your audience cares about
- Structure as: hook tweet → 5-8 value tweets → summary + CTA
- Hook format: "I [did X] and here's what happened:" or "Most people get [topic] wrong. Here's what actually works:"
- Each tweet in the thread should stand alone as a valuable insight
- End with a summary and soft CTA (follow for more, check out my product)
- Post Tuesday-Thursday, 9-11am in your audience's timezone
- Engage with every reply for 2 hours after posting
Key insight: The hook tweet determines everything. Spend 50% of your time on the first tweet. If nobody clicks "Show this thread," the other 8 tweets don't matter.
