The percentage of users who complete a desired action. Can measure many things: visitor to signup, signup to paid, trial to subscription, etc.
Formula
Conversion Rate = (Conversions / Total Opportunities) × 100
Why it matters
Conversion rates compound through your funnel. A 10% improvement at each stage can double overall throughput. Always define what "conversion" means specifically.
How to improve
Reduce friction in the conversion path. Add urgency and scarcity when appropriate. Improve the value proposition clarity. A/B test systematically. Focus on the biggest drop-off points first.
